PCS Group is an integrated facilities service provider and manager for all type of property.
Professional Cleaning Services (PCS) is a family-owned and operated company, founded by the Steele family in the north of London in 1977. We grew quite rapidly and in 1988, to accommodate this growth, moved into larger premises. At this time, we had 250 full-time cleaners and supervisors.
The following two years were to prove very significant; not only did we achieve a consolidated growth – expanding again into new modern premises – we also became dedicated to providing a quality assured service. On 30th October 1990, we became the first privately owned office cleaning company to be recognised by SGS Yarsley as a Quality Assured company in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001. We have now been registered as Quality Assured for over 20 years.
Building on the success of the training programme implemented in 1988, and in recognition of the continued importance of training and development, PCS made a commitment to the Investors In People standard in December 1995.
PCS had deliberately chosen to follow and pursue certain policies, one of which was to concentrate our area of operation within the confines of the City and West End of London. This enabled the company to expand, but kept its area of operation on its own doorstep. In recent years, the company’s continued success has enabled it to increase its area of operation to provide services to clients anywhere within the M25 boundary. PCS’s commitment to the customer also led to its expansion into Facilities Management support services. Through its associated companies – PCS Facilities Management, Cadogan King and Chlorelle – it is able to provide comprehensive and integrated Facilities Management for clients in addition to commercial cleaning.
Today’s Professional Cleaning Services company bears little resemblance to that family business but one thing has not changed. With over 40 years’ experience of contract cleaning, PCS proudly remains committed not only to providing a quality service but also to following an active, environment friendly product policy. These commitments have allowed the company to count many blue-chip organisations amongst its ever-increasing client base.

Environmental Commitment
Already committed to the use of recycled and ozone-friendly products, The PCS Group is accredited with ISO 14001: International environmental accreditation, through means of Environmental Management System and Manual.
The PCS Group also offers you the opportunity to contribute from your workplace, which can normally be difficult with over-riding economic pressures. PCS supply 'paper only' bins which are regularly collected. These are returned to paper mills for re-cycling. We can also supply 'Mini Bottle Banks' for the disposal of all green and brown glass. Again, these will be emptied at regularly and returned to a local authority re-cycling centre.
‘Green' information stickers and information cards can be provided to remind and inform staff of ways in which they can contribute.

All companies need to be aware of the impact they have on both the micro and macro environment. The PCS Group are committed to doing our part to drastically reduce our carbon footprint and are working towards being a zero-waste company.
To start our zero-waste journey, we are aiming to increase recycling rates at all our sites to 80% (dependent on clients working practice) within the first 6 months of a contract. From here, we will be able to discuss strategies available to further reduce general waste.
