The Elms Academy
The Elms Academy is committed to delivering an outstanding education in an exceptional environment. PCS began our contract at The Elms in August 2017. We began our management of this contract during a period of instability of the Academy’s senior leadership team, with the main managers of the contract leaving without providing a handover to us. We were able to continue providing a service to the school; ensuring that they were able to have continuation of service.
The service to The Elms Academy has been provided by two Housekeepers, a supervisor, day cleaners, morning COVID cleaner, afternoon COVID cleaner, a janitor, evening cleaners, and a porter. Along with the daily general cleaning, we arrange and provide the periodic deep cleaning required during the three main school holidays. These need to be carefully timed to ensure that any holiday lettings are considered and are not interrupted.
With the staff at The Elms Academy, we need to ensure that they undergo full training and are fully informed regarding Safeguarding and Protect. This is a requirement for any employee in an educational setting. We ensure that all of our cleaners are DBS Enhanced checked, updated every three years, and have Safeguarding and Protect training before they start working at a school. This information is provided to the Academy, and they are updated regularly on any training updates for the staff.
